GUIDE FOR THE CONDUCT OF A PROTEST HEARING

   You are now involved in a protest. In order to explain and assist you at the hearing, this brief outline is what you may expect in the way that the hearing will be conducted.
   By following this guide you will be assisting the committee in reaching an early decision.
   Both parties to the protest are to be present at all times except when excused by the committee for the purpose of deliberation. Witnesses are to remain outside and will be called one at a time.
   It is expected that both parties to the protest as well as witnesses will be available until excused.
 
VALIDITY
Were contents adequate? RRS 61.2. ________.
Lodged in time? ________. If not is there a good reason to extend, RRS 62.2. ________.
Was protestor involved or a witness to the incident, RRS 61.3? ________.
Were “PROTEST” hailed, ________, and flag shown (if required)? ________.

          (d) Penalty, if any, defined with instructions for the scorer
 
   Questions posed by the Committee will normally be led by the Chairman, who when finished, will ask the other members of the Committee if they have and additional questions.
    It is expected that all parties to the protest will remain calm at all times and conduct themselves with dignity ant tact…
