2008 Announcements

To: All sailors interested in teaching sailing An Instructor Level I class has been created for the New Jersey area from May 15 to May 18 at the Cooper River Yacht Club.
The Instructor Trainer is Freddie Sambolin. He is a native of Puerto Rico, who currently lives in South Florida.

He was the Puerto Rico Laser Class Champion in 1987, 1988, 1990, 1991, 1993, 1994 and 1995. Most recently he has been racing the Laser in both Open and Masters Regattas throughout Florida . He has served various years as Laser Representative to the Pan American Games and to the Central Americaand Caribbean Games.

He also was the Puerto Rico Sunfish Class Champion in 1981, 1983, 19868, 1988, 1990, 1998, 2000, and 2001. And he was a member of the Puerto Rico Sunfish Worlds team six times between 1990 and 2002.

Besides his impressive sailing accomplishments, he has an extensive background in teaching and coaching at all levels of the sport. On top of that, he is a very fun and personable guy, and I know you are going to enjoy working with him.

The Cooper River Yacht Club will be providing the sailboats, Precision 15s.

You must register for this class BEFORE MAY 1.
